Dial a Santa

Monday, December 25, 2017

December comes and children start dreaming about what Santa will bring for them. Every year RCMM celebrates Santa’s arrival with some school or ashram. Project was started by late PP Vinayak and is continued by his wife PP Uma by sponsoring the event.
This year we celebrated with Paraplegic Foundation at Sion. There are about 40 patients with one care taker for each patient. All the patients were on wheel chair, enthusiastically participating in celebration. RCMM distributed blankets to all patient and staff. Rotarians and Rotaractor entrained patients with melodious songs which in turn motivated them to sing. It was a nice experience to watch them sing and smile on their faces. Rtn. Dr. Nisha was Santa this time.
All the Rotarians were feeling good to spend time with patients. It was unique experience. Rotarians could not resist buying of beautiful products trays, candles and scarfs made by these patients.
