Dial a Santa

Dial a Santa project is very close to the hearts of RCMM members as it was started by Late Rtn. VinayakSahasrabudhewith the intention to spread smiles. As usual, Rtn. Uma has sponsored this project in memory of her husband Rtn. Vinayakto keep spreading the smiles. Rtn. Sunitatook the lead in execution and organized the Christmas Celebration with PaediatricCancer Patients at St. Jude India, Child Care Center. Children from all over India reside here with their parent for on going treatment at TATA Hospital. About 100 children of age group 0 to 15 years avail the facility at St. Jude Center.
Due to Corona Pandemic, the programmewas organized through Zoom Conference meeting connecting the children from four different centers and RCMM Members on 26thDecember.
It commenced with PR Ushawelcoming all the participants, followed by Rtn. Sunitatelling about St. Jude centers. Rtn. Nita rendered the song uplifting  the mood for celebration.  RtnUma told a very nice story and we could see children thoroughly enjoying it. Teacher at St. Jude center had organized novel on line games involving the children and also presented a dance video making everyone to dance. RCMM distributed Steel Mug, MawaCake, Perk Chocolate, Banana Chips to each child and also provided prizes for the winners.
Over all it was very satisfying and heartening to watch the children with smile on their faces, enjoying, and forgetting their pains.

Our plan is to empower the villagers in Shisne, Dahanu Taluka, Maharashtra, for sustained economic and community wellbeing through setting up a Rotary Community Corps (RCC)
