Education is the basic right of every child. A lot is being done to encourage education and provide infrastructure facility, make the school a Happy School. However, even now many children have to travel a long distance to attend school. This impacts their study time and also the ability to continue school.
The city children are blessed with School buses and private mode of travel. The village children do not have this facility and also cannot afford the same. RCMM has taken small steps to address this issue of around 13 girl children studying in ZillaParishadShoolsin Shree SidheshvarVidayalaya  in  Kadhe   and Vetale  taluka. The children attending this school travel between  3 to 5 Kmsone way on foot to attend school.
Eight members from RCMM visited the school which is around 15 KMS in the interior of Wada. Even as we were travelling in the AC car we could feel the heat outside and could understand the heat in which these children have to travel with their school bags daily.
The distribution ceremony was well arranged and a simple one. The children from both the schools were assembled in VetaleSchool ground. PR SandhyaSamurdaspoke very eloquently on Rotary and the projects that RCMM is doing for the schools. She advised  the children that these are the years when the children can take a decision to study and get a good job and lead a comfortable life. If they take these years lightly they might not be able to grow up in life.
The project was well executed and a satisfying.
