Joining Hands for A Healthier World - CSR Project at KEM Hospital

It was a proud moment for all members of Rotary Club of Mumbai Mahimon Monday 13th  July 2015, when the ceremony for handing over 2D Echocardiogram Machine to the KEMCardiology Department took place.
The machine, costing approx. Rs. 35 Lakhs, will assist KEMHospital to examine 300+ additional patients for chest infection resulting in early diagnosis and timely treatment. 
Dr. Prafulla Kerkar– HODCardiology received the title documents for the machine from Rtn. Prakash Samudra of RCMM who is also Managing Director of ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions (India), who financed the cost of the machine under their CSR Program.  Dr. Avinash Supe - Dean of KEMHospital, who was the Chief Guest for the occasion, complimented Rotary for their spirit of SERVICE ABOVE SELF.  RtnDhananjayPatwardhan, President – RCMM and RtnDilipMulay- District Treasurer also spoke on the occasion.  After the conclusion of formal function, Rotarians and guests visited the Cardiology Dept on the ground floor where the donated machine was already installed and put into use.
With the handover of 2D Echo Machine, we were not only responsible for gifting an equipment but also gifted our time, knowledge and expertise in the service of humanity befitting the theme of Rotary International for the current year – “BE A GIFT TO THE WORLD
