Mission Muskan

There are thousands of poor and needy children in Maharashtra, especially in rural areas, who are in need of immediate medical attention. Due to being economically backward, the families cannot afford expensive treatment. In order to save the life of these children, the Maharashtra Chief Ministers Relief Fund and Rotary International (Dist. 3141) have come together and signed an MOU in the form of ”Mission Muskan”.
 
Under ‘Mission Muskan’, Rotary aim to reach out to grass-root levels by helping the underprivileged children requiring immediate surgical intervention. Medical assistance is granted in form of heart bypass, cochlear implant, neuro and all other types of pediatric surgeries. These are carried out at renowned private hospitals with the possible best care.
 
To extend Mission Muskan further to club level, from Mahim area RCMM is the lead club in this endeavor. MoU was signed  under this scheme on 19thJanuary, 2019 with Rahejas ( Fortis)  Hospitalin presence of DG Shashi Sharma, PDG Ajay Gupta, DGND Dr. Rajendra Agarwal , Suresh  Chokhani , Anantram Mitraland CEO Dr. Ambegaonkar of Raheja Hospital.
 
Four heart operations  have been already performed under Muskan at Raheja. RC of Mumbai Mahim has confirmed 10 operations;  as well as RC of Parleshwar 4 nos and  RC Shivaji Park 5  nos.  Rtn. Dhananjay is identified as convener for this project. Five  days ago with support from RC Mumbai Mahim, child Layappa underwent heart surgery . He was present at the function with his father. It was satisfying experience to see the child  who will lead better life after the operation.
