RIPE Award function

Rotary Club of Mumbai Mahim (RCMM) had a unique function called RIPE* Award function on Sun 24 Mar 2013 at NASEOH Complex, Chembur.  The objective was to confer awards Recognizing Individuals’/Institutions’ Professional Excellence called the RIPE* Awards consisting of a Trophy and a Citation carrying the insignia:

The theme for the year 2012-13 was “Challenging DisAbility: Celebrating the Success”.

Omkar Joshi,deaf and mute from birth, for setting up and successfully running his own business of selling display frames employing 6 physically challenged persons in his business and Abhay & Devaki Rangnekar, owners of Quest2Travel.com for taking all pains in persuading, training and transforming the lives of 15 physically challenged persons by providing them employment in their business were the winners of RIPE* Award this year.

District Governor Dr. Balkrishna Inamdar graced the function as Chief Guest.

The event also witnessed distribution of Tricycles free of cost to 30 deserving beneficiaries.  The seatback of the Tricycle was painted with the name of the Club providing great visibility to Rotary.

 

Team up for Humanity

We have excellent Partners in Service like NASEOH, Bombay Physical Cultural Association (BPCA) with whom we team up for various humanitarian projects of social relevance.

Our plan is to empower the villagers in Shisne, Dahanu Taluka, Maharashtra, for sustained economic and community wellbeing through setting up a Rotary Community Corps (RCC)
