Being independent means being able to take care of your own needs and to make and assume responsibility for your decisions while considering both the people around you and your environment. For every parent their basic expectations from children that they are able to look after themselves. In case of People with Different Abilities, becoming independent becomes a question mark. One needs lot of will power, right attitude and above all people around you to help you independent.
Today many NGOs are coming forward to help these people. Cerebral Palsy Association of India (CPA) is one such NGO catering to People with Different Abilities by providing engagement and helping them to be a part of the integrated social framework. Based on the interest of individuals skills are taught to PDAs.
On 27thJuly Rotary club of  Hanging Gardens  and Rotary club of Mumbai Mahim  did a joint project of donating four sewing machines by each club  to a cerebral palsy school located at Kalinaand run by CPA of India. This will help the students to acquire sewing skills and help them to earn.
